Who we are
Cat Nap Nanny is a sole-trader cat-sitting service.
What information we collect
When you submit an enquiry through our contact form we collect:
- Your name
- Email address (optional)
- Phone number (optional)
- Your cat's name(s)
- Requested service and dates
- Any additional message you provide
We do not collect payment card details, and we do not use cookies.
Why we collect it
We collect your information to respond to your service enquiry and, if you proceed, to arrange and manage your cat-sitting booking. The legal basis for this processing is legitimate interests — specifically, the mutual interest of both parties in communicating about and fulfilling the requested service.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that did not become bookings — retained for up to 12 months from receipt, then securely deleted.
- Booking records — retained for up to 2 years from the date of service, in line with standard business record-keeping practices.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is stored securely on our own infrastructure and is only accessed by us.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data ("right to erasure")
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us with "Data Removal Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 30 days.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time. Any significant changes will be reflected here. This notice was last reviewed in June 2026.
If you have a concern about how we handle your data that we have been unable to resolve, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
